Upper Blepharoplasty Ventura - Before and After Images

Upper Eyelid Blepharoplasty

Upper eyelid surgery is performed in our office under local anesthesia or I.V. sedation and generally takes between 1-2 hours. Dr. Hanna removes excess skin, muscle, and fatty tissue that tend to accumulate from the upper eyelids. The upper eyelid surgery incision is hidden in the natural creases above the eyelids. One fine stitch is used to close the incision which will be removed subsequently. The recovery from this procedure is minimal, stitches are removed in 5-6 days and the patient can resume normal activity within one week.

Lower Eyelid Blepharoplasty

The lower eyelid lift can be very effective at targeting the signs of tiredness and aging from the eyes by removing the excess fat and wrinkly skin. Dr. Hanna’s goal in eyelid surgery is to create a more youthful look and not a tight and operated one. For lower lids, we also use local anesthesia or I.V sedation with the procedure taking typically between 1-2 hours. Lower eyelid surgery is performed through the incision in a crease about 1 mm underneath the lash line so that it can be completely hidden and camouflaged. A tiny absorbable stitch is placed to close the incision. Recovery is generally between 5-6 days.

Puffy Eyes or Eye Bags Removal

Dr. Hanna is an expert in treating puffy eyes and removing the bags under the eyes. This is also a very popular procedure in our office. Similar to lower eyelid blepharoplasty, the incision is made in a crease about 1 mm underneath the lash line (the natural creases under the eyes) and practically invisible. The excess fat and skin can be removed through the incision and a tiny absorbable stitch is placed to close the incision. Recovery is generally between 5-6 days.
